For WP to pull a Vox. They are removing the only thing I like… Blog Surfer.
I can’t stand readomattic because it only shows you one full post and you can’t see the others in full unless you hide the top one.
And Subscription reader sucks as well for the same reason, except on that they don’t show any full posts at all, just a few words of the first sentence.
I want to read all posts in full on the same page, like on BlogSurfer.
hear, hear!
I gave up on all of ’em and switched to Google Reader. I only use the Subscription reader for those folks whose blogs are private and I can’t subscribe to via Google Reader. So much easier to manage what I have/haven’t read and save stuff for later with GR. Plus, as you said, it shows you the whole post, and not just a snippet.
Hear hear!! we need the whole posts together one place.
I found that BlogSurfer & Readomatic are both highly unpredictable about what they show. BlogSurfer typically only showed me updates from AU and maybe 2 people in the US. I’ve heard that some people are having similar problems with subscriptions. So I’m sticking with my “click through my entire blogroll” method.
I stick to using Google Reader, too, like Ross. I use the email notifications on my WP Subscription reader, to keep me updated on the private blogs. I would use the WP subscription reader for everything (now that it is available) if it did full views of the posts but it doesn’t so I stick with Google Reader for everything but the private ones.
Good idea to use email subscriptions for those private blogs! I might have to start doing that…
